The online voting website Doodle was founded in Switzerland in 2007, and since then has been the best website around for voting, creating surveys, and scheduling meetings. Doodle has 30 million people every month using its survey software to find the best time to meet as of November 2018. The sheer popularity of this voting website proves that it offers a great service that’s easy to use.
Get started with Doodle’s voting website – fast and easy to use
The most popular application of Doodle polls is to find the best time to meet. That’s why we offer calendar connections to your Google, Outlook, or other calendar feeds. Doodle is the best way to schedule and keep track of all your meetings, regardless of how many people attend. Let’s look at an example to see how easy it is to set up your first Doodle poll.
First, start your Doodle poll by choosing ‘create a Doodle’ at the top of the page. On the first step include the name of the meeting you’d like to have, the location of the meeting, and any notes you like. For this example, we’ll use ‘Board meeting.’ The location is ‘our offices’ and we’ll also add a little note.
If you decide to create a survey to find out preferences or opinions on any given topic, rather than finding the best time for a meeting, you’d add the title of your survey here instead.
On step 2 you can add the time options. For the board meeting in February, we’ll add a few options to ensure a higher likelihood of finding the best time for everyone to meet. You can choose the month view to see all the days of the month and then add the times on the right. If you choose week view you can add the time slots directly to the calendar. You’ll select ‘text’ to start adding the text options of your survey.
In step three of poll creation, you can take advantage of all kinds of additional features to help you streamline your scheduling. You can limit the number of votes per participant, make the poll hidden to hide the information of your attendees or add a third ‘if-need-be’ option for more flexibility. If you upgrade to a Premium account you can add deadlines to get your votes in even faster, and require contact details so you can get back in touch with your participants after your meeting.
During step 4 you can send out your meeting invitations. You can add the email addresses of your contacts, or you can copy the link and share it as you like.
Doodle is more than just a voting website
Doodle has extra features such as the MeetMe service, your own personal assistant, to help coordinate meetings. There’s also a mobile application, so that if you’re on the go, you don’t have to pull up the voting website in your browser but just open the app and cast your vote or schedule an appointment within seconds. Doodle Premium plans are also available for teams who want to cut down on the busy work. You can also add your company logo and branding to your polls to add a professional look.
