Create a shared calendar with Doodle

Calendar sharing is easy with Doodle

We all know how hard it can sometimes be to keep track of our schedule in any given week: from work functions to social events to personal holidays and appointments, it is easy to lose track of where we are supposed to be and what we have already arranged to do. That’s why there’s Doodle, the most popular scheduling tool.

With Doodle you can send out a poll to friends or colleagues, to quickly find out the best time for everyone to meet. Now, you can add your online calendar (be it a Google Calendar, Microsoft 365, or any other calendar that can be shared via ICS Feed) to your Doodle account. This means that when you are creating a poll or filling one in for someone else, you can view it in calendar format, while viewing your calendar, therefore instantly seeing when you are and when you are not available. This is of course much easier than having to switch back and forth from your calendar and the Doodle poll.

Connect your shared calendar to Doodle

See just how easy it is to use a calendar with Doodle.

First, start your own meeting invitation and on the first step include the name of the meeting, the location of the meeting, and any notes you like. For this example, we’ll use ‘Board meeting.’ The location is ‘our offices’ and we added a little note, which would be to look over the agenda beforehand.

During the second step, you add the time options you like for your meeting. For the board meeting in February, we’ll make sure to add a few options so that our guests to make sure they can find the best time. And if you’ve shared your calendar with Doodle, you can see your appointments as you’re creating the Doodle meeting invitation. This way you’ll never double book yourself!

Connecting your calendar to Doodle is the best way to manage your schedule and your work.

Click the week view during step 2 to see how your calendar looks as you create the Doodle meeting invitation. You can see all of your appointments next to the proposed meeting times, just in a lighter shade of color if you use a shared calendar with the Doodle calendar sharing option. It’s best to use a lot of times to make sure your invitees can find the best time to meet.

During the set up of your meeting invitation, you can find all the important settings. You can enable yes, no, if-need-be, limited options, or make the poll hidden for example. Here you can also see several Premium Doodle options such as poll deadlines and additional information requests. Premium accounts are also totally ad-free for you and your invitees!

Add your name for step 4 and send the Doodle out to your guests. They can vote on the dates they like and in seconds you’ve found the best time to for your meeting.
