"@rachelbeer has called for a London Tweetup in November for all us NFP types. I thought this might help settle on a date!

So, it looks like we're set on a date and times: 16.30-20.30 on Monday, 24th November.

I suggest we get together quite casually, with people able to drop in and out to chat, network, share knowledge, insights, thoughts etc.

I have started to spread the word to people not using Twitter in the hope this can act as catalyst to get people engaged with social media and its potential applications for non-profits.

Now, does anyone have any ideas for a venue that's central and has good, reliable WiFi?

Hi Paul, yes, I'm all for getting away from London-centric meetings (spoken as a true EastEnder!). Already set up Northern Legacy Marketing Group some years back. You need to know about a forthcoming conference on 12 Feb in York for fundraisers about Social Media. Check my blog: http://tinyurl.com/4uu6nc (12 Sept and more recent comment)

    See you in London.

    Graham

Graham and I were talking earlier today... keen on as wide a slot as possible - maybe 4:30 - 8:30, with flexibility for ppl to join in and leave where they have other things going on - or need to head off by 8:30 (like Graham & I!!)

During the day on Monday 24th, Amy and I will be running sessions at this event, so if possible, needs to be evening not afternoon! http://www.ncvo-vol.org.uk/events/latest/?id=10800

    Hey, thanks for organising, Steve!
Had been wondering whether to use Upcoming to set a date, but been short on time. Imagine my excitement to come back from my meetings today and find this :)
I don't have anything booked that week yet, so am flexible. Will fit in around majority. Like the idea of afternoon/evening thing.

John / Graham - Good to see a Yorkshire representation on the comments !
I'm based in Sheffield (when not on @watfordgap's travels) - think we could organise similar up here too ?

    Hi guys,

Pretty free for the week commencing 24/11 - so have picked the most popular dates with others pretty much :o)

Hmm... most likely date looking like Monday 24th... perhaps something in the afternoon that can roll into an early evening thing :)

Like Graham, I'd have to leave to catch last train (21:45) from Padds back to Somerset.

Hi John, are you on Twitter? I looked them up on thetrainline.com Don't bother looking at NatExpressEast Coast, cheap tickets seem to have disappeared off their radar. Sorry, I should have said, they're from York to KX, not Leeds, but if you can't get Leeds ones, York's only 35 mins drive or you can get the tarin there.

    Regards

    Graham

If it was Monday late afternoon/early evening, I could get down and back for £35. I didn't tick Monday evening, but as long as I can get to Kings Cross for a 9pm train, Monday evening would be OK.

I am in London (Brentford) for the DC10plus Community ICT Event on 24th (bit of a plug if any of you who work with communities are interested - http://www.eventbrite.com/event/171986416 ... oh and its FREE)
I will be in London on Sunday night - 23rd if anyone else is coming up to London and wants to meet then ?

Mornings are OK as long as late morning start (after 11:30), as cheap tickets not available until after 09:00 from Yorkshire.

I'm in London on the 2nd Dec as well and can be free morning to mid afternoon on that day.
