Poll: Combined WiLS/Reference and Loan Fall Meeting?
Bob Shaw has created this poll.
"Instead of having separate fall ILL meetings for WiLS and Reference and Loan, would you prefer a combined meeting where we would meet jointly in the morning and have separate tracks in the afternoon for academic and public libraries?"

I think it is a great idea to combine the meetings, but I wonder if there will be too much info to cover in 1 day. WISCAT/OCLC separate session would be helpful.

I'm not against trying this. I've always like the RLL meetings as they were very practical and geared toward PLs. I think this approach may dilute that somewhat. I also don't know how the afternoon session would be organized - WISCAT or OCLC or both? Perhaps we also need users groups for each software in addition to the general meeting. This could be a topic for the first afternoon session.

I am all for trying this. It is expensive to travel to your meetings and one meeting would be great.

since we have to travel 3 hours to get to you and also with limited staff to cover ILL, it is difficult for us to take off days to come to a meeting. One information-packed meeting would be great!

Wonderful idea. Conserves gas, and "time away". if you don't make the conference too awfully interesting for the other part when we split up, it would be so very efficient.

I think this is worth a try. If it doesn't work, we can always go back to "business as usual."
