Doodle for Chrome and other improvements
We just finished putting the latest Doodle release online. It features a number of improvements:
- Doodle now also works properly with Google’s Chrome browser.
- Doodle now stores the information you already entered when you choose to add a comment. Thus, after having added your comment to a poll, your information is still there and you can easily continue where you left off.
- When you edit an entry in a poll, the browser jumps to the correct position in the table and centers conveniently on the input field where you’re supposed to edit your information.
- When you create a new date/time poll and click on “Copy and paste first row”, your browser no longer jumps to the top of the page.
- Mobile Doodle has been available since August and allows you to participate in an existing poll with your mobile phone. Now you can also create new polls using your mobile. Give it a try at m.doodle.com and send us your feedback!
- Last but not least: Basque is Doodle’s 26th language. Thanks to Ander Goñi!

That’s a joke.
Chrome is a khtml browser like Safari from Apple or Konqueror from KDE.
So with other words you said, you haven’t ever tested your page with Safari or Konqueror.

@ Steven
Doodle on Safari has been tested since the very beginning. We know that Chrome uses the same WebKit engine like Safari does. I’m sure you also heard that Google optimized the JavaScriptCore, which means that it’s no longer 100% the same as Safari. Therefore we had few things to fix/optimize specifically for Chrome.

Actually, as a Mac user, I use Safari all the time. For testing purposes, I even use Safari on Windows every now and then.
I hope you’re right in assuming that Doodle working properly in Safari implies Doodle working properly in Chrome as well and that the differences that we had observed can be attributed to Chrome having been a beta product until recently.
Happy New Year!
