If the required "Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime" fails to install, try to install it directly from here. Then re-run the Doodle Outlook Connector installation.
  • -

Restart Outlook after a complete installation of the connector.

Usage

  • -

After the Outlook restart, you will be prompted to log into Doodle.
  • -

After a successful log-in, you can select calendars which you want to connect with Doodle.
  • -

Once the initial synchronisation is done, click on "Schedule event" in the Doodle toolbar. Create a test poll. On the wizard step 2 you should see your synchronized calendars (make sure you are logged in).
  • -

Open your test poll. Above the poll table you find a "Calendar View" tab. Click on it. Now you will see your connected calendars again as well as your proposed dates/times on which you can now vote.
  • -

Go back to Outlook. Click on "Sync" in the Doodle toolbar. Your participation should now appear as tentative appointments in your calendar.

Insights

  • -

You control whether contact or appointment details are synched with Doodle.
  • -

We only sync the last 30 days and the next 90 days.
  • -

Contact information will not be re-synched unless you go through the "Settings" dialog again.
  • -

Connector updates, when available, will automatically be installed upon the next Outlook restart.
  • -

The connector can be removed at any time via the Control Panel (Add/Remove Programs).
